The farmhouse is only open to the pigs

Quotations on the Farmhouse
  • "They tiptoed from room to room, afraid to speak above a whisper and gazing with a kind of awe at the unbelievable luxury, at the beds with their feather mattresses, the looking-glasses, the horsehair sofa, the Brussels carpet, the lithograph of Queen Victoria over the drawing-room mantelpiece."
    • This quote shows the immense luxury of the residence of the Jones' who represent the Czars. The Czars lived in great luxury while the Russian people suffered.
  • "A unanimous resolution was passes on the spot that the farmhouse should be preserved as a museum. All were agreed that no animal must ever live there."
    • The animals decided to keep the farmhouse as a museum, just as the people of Russia decided to make the Kremlin a museum after chasing out the Czars.
  • "It was absolutely necessary, he said, that the pigs, who were the brains of the farm, should have a quiet place to work in. It was also more suited to the dignity of the leader (for of late he had taken to speaking of Napoleon under the title of "Leader") to live in a house than a mere sty."
    • This displays that the pigs now have moved their residence into the farmhouse against the idea that it would be kept a s a museum just as Joseph Stalin made the Kremlin his residence.
